Purpose before profit:

The desire to make a difference has been at the heart of Naturally Social since our story began way back in 2015. After cutting my social media teeth in local government, I knew that there was so much power – left untapped – in social channels. To use this incredible platform for social good and to work with clients whose purpose became before their profit margins.

I strongly believe it’s that genuine goal of wanting to help others and kickstart real change that’s behind our success so far – and why we’ve managed to grow so quickly.

Shared outlooks delivering big results:

From humble beginnings, my mission as an entrepreneur has always been to use social and digital channels to support and grow the impact of ambitious charities and ethical companies alike. Ever since launching, it’s been my focus to only work with businesses and good causes that share our ethos and who also want to make the world that little bit better. This shared synergy and outlook combine to create real results and make some truly powerful digital waves.

My passion is about digital as a force for social good, and our USP as an agency is only working with clients that are driven by social purpose. For me, business is never about putting profit first, and it never will be. I’ll only work with companies that make money as an outcome of ethical business practice and working in a moral way.

It’s not all been plain-sailing, of course: no business journey ever is. There were times, especially during the early days of Naturally Social, when I considered calling time on it all and returning to regular employment. That very nearly happened. Yet riding out those challenging early days unquestionably turned out to be the right decision.

A purpose-driven world:

We now live in a world where ‘purpose’ is very much part of the mainstream conversation. The influence of ethical business communities such as B Corp continues to grow at a rapid pace. B2B and B2C conversations alike are increasingly taking place around ethics, transparency and social impact. That’s a very good thing.

By sticking true to our central purpose of social media for social good and not wavering from this. We’re going from strength to strength as a rounded communications agency. Providing social and digital media, PR and content marketing support, all under one roof. Understanding the challenges all too well ourselves. We’ve now supported many micro and owner-managed businesses with bespoke social packages, grown to a team of 8 and have won numerous awards in the process.

For me and my business, purpose has always been about much more than profit: it’s about impact.

Impact like when our social media support for Wiltshire Air Ambulance raised £10,000 in 72 hours. Successfully funding the flight room of the charity’s new airbase.

Impact like the Wiltshire Digital Drive – launched in the first lockdown of 2020. Which has now given more than 1,000 school children, families and organisations in need a laptop or computer, bridging the digital gap.

Impact like helping our clients achieve award success, media coverage, oversubscribed events, enquiries and sales, and greater brand engagement and exposure. That’s why we do what we do.

Enabling real impact is the beating heart of Naturally Social. Increasing the impact of the difference-makers of this world keeps us doing what we’re doing. And it always will.
